Communication and Class Representative Seminars 2017

On October 26, 2017, it was time once again: our annual class representative seminar in Memhölz took place!
All first class representatives from grades 8 to 10, the upper school student speakers, and members of the Event Planning Committee (AKV) joined our liaison teachers, Ms. Kühne and Mr. Schwarzenbach, for this two-day event.
After arriving and playing a few icebreaker games, we jumped right into collecting the concerns and suggestions of each class. Posters were used to record issues, ideas for improvement, and positive feedback. Motivated and energized by lunch, we spent the afternoon forming working groups. Each group focused on a specific topic related to school life—such as "Facilities and Grounds," "Cafeteria Services," or "Break Time." The teams discussed their topics in depth and developed solutions and proposals for improvement, which they presented to the rest of the group in the evening.
Once all topics had been discussed and suggestions collected, we wrapped up the day with games, conversations, and time to get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere.

The next morning, feeling refreshed, we began preparing for the visit from our school administration, represented by Mr. Walter and Mr. Dössinger. All collected ideas and suggestions were presented in detail and discussed with them. Both administrators responded openly and positively to our proposals, expressing support in many areas.
This exchange of perspectives allowed us, as students, to actively shape and improve our shared school environment.
Sadly, the time flew by too quickly. But we left Memhölz with a sense of accomplishment, proud of the thoughtful ideas we had developed and the connections we had made.

We’re already looking forward to the next seminar in Memhölz!
