Communication and Class Representative Seminars 2018

As in previous school years, all class and student representatives, along with two tutor representatives from Gymnasium Buchloe, traveled to Memhölz on October 18 and 19 for the annual seminar at the “Haus der Familie.”
After arriving at the accommodation, students received a brief tour of the facilities before settling into their rooms. As is tradition, a short icebreaker game helped everyone get to know each other. The program then began in earnest:
Students from the lower and middle grades worked closely with the liaison teachers, Mr. Pitzl and Ms. Geiger, on the topics “Challenges at Gymnasium Buchloe” and “School Events”, while upper-grade students from classes Q11 and Q12 focused on planning their graduation celebrations.
Fifth graders, as in every year, were introduced to the role and responsibilities of being a class representative.

After lunch, the groups continued their discussions and finalized their results, which were presented later that afternoon. Before dinner, all students attended a talk and discussion on bullying, held by the school psychologist, Mr. Christ.
The evening ended with a night hike, followed by a game night filled with fun and laughter.
The next morning, the students presented their group results to Vice Principal Mr. Pfaffendorf, who discussed their ideas and feedback with them. After two productive and engaging days, everyone returned to Buchloe—tired, but with a sense of accomplishment.

A special thank-you goes once again to the Frank Hirschvogel Foundation and the Friends’ Association, whose support made it possible for all students to participate free of charge.
