Communication and Class Representative Seminars 2021
After the class representative seminar in 2020/2021 could only take place digitally due to COVID-19, it was finally time again on Wednesday, October 27. The student representatives, together with the liaison teachers, class reps from nearly all grades, the board members of the Environmental Club, Fruit Club, Tech Club, the Event Committee (AKV), as well as former student representatives, traveled to Memhölz. Upon arrival, the group began with an introductory phase that included a variety of icebreaker games. The following day marked the start of the productive phase.
The class representatives from each grade level gathered to discuss problems, suggestions for improvement, and also positive aspects of school life. These points were then presented to all participants of the seminar, resulting in a clear overview of the students’ priorities and interests for the current school year. Based on this list, working groups were formed—such as school merchandise, daily life, digitization, and more—to brainstorm solutions for the various issues raised. Their proposals were documented on posters and later reviewed in detail.
On Friday morning, we welcomed Mr. Walter and Mr. Dössinger. The results of the working groups were presented to the school leadership, although time constraints prevented a full discussion of all topics.
Afterward, the group returned to Kaufbeuren. Once again, we express our sincere thanks to the school leadership for taking the time to listen to our feedback, and to all participants, without whom the class representative seminar would not have been possible. And, of course, a heartfelt thank-you to the Frank Hirschvogel Foundation, whose generous financial support made the seminar possible. We hope this tradition of attending the class representative seminar will continue next year.
