STEM Field Trip 2016

Students from two 8th-grade classes at Pfaffenwinkel Realschule Schongau spent the last week of April in Bischofsheim in the Rhön for a STEM-intensive science retreat. The program focused on topics such as water, chemistry, and energy.

Throughout the week, students had the opportunity to conduct hands-on experiments in an extended time frame—something that regular chemistry and physics classes often can’t offer due to curriculum constraints. The experience not only enhanced their understanding of scientific methods, but also supported early career exploration.

The Frank Hirschvogel Foundation generously covered a significant portion of the costs.
