Student Laboratory 2018
On Monday, November 5, 2018, class 9a visited the student laboratory at Kempten University of Applied Sciences. In the experiments, which the students conducted in groups of five, the focus was on human senses and perception. The students had the opportunity to create their own hearing threshold curves and to display impressive vibration patterns using so-called Chladni sound figures made of sand. An inversion goggle literally turned their visual perception upside down, and with the help of colored spotlights, they explored the phenomenon of additive color mixing. Various optical illusions made some question their own perception, and music was precisely analyzed using a computer. After two and a half exciting and varied hours, the class began their journey back home. Many thanks to the student lab in Kempten and to the Hirschvogel Foundation, whose financial support made this fantastic experience possible!
