Technology Rally 2016

To inspire students to take an interest in science and technology, a “Technology Rally” was held on June 13 and 14 for all 5th-grade students at the Dominikus-Zimmermann-Gymnasium in Landsberg.
At a variety of hands-on stations, the children demonstrated their craftsmanship and technical curiosity: they sawed, soldered, hammered, screwed, bent wire, connected cables, made leather bracelets, designed door signs, cut out animal figures, played a technology memory game, and cut copper pipes – there was something for everyone.
The special feature: during the 90-minute session, students were free to choose whatever activity they felt like doing. The focus was entirely on the joy of making and doing.
They were supported by experienced instructors Corinna Reiner and Michael Stoß, who not only offered technical guidance but also provided insight into career opportunities in the STEM fields – science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The Technology Rally was a great success for everyone involved – full of fun, curiosity, and hands-on experiences that may have already sparked interest in future career paths.
