Dr. Marc Hirschvogel

Marc Hirschvogel was born in Schongau in 1985, the son of Dr. Manfred Hirschvogel, who served as Managing Partner of the Hirschvogel Automotive Group until his sudden death in 2010, and Anne Marie Hirschvogel, née Kennedy. He is the company’s majority shareholder and, in this capacity, also serves as a member of the Advisory Board.

Marc Hirschvogel studied Mechanical Engineering at the Technical University of Munich (TUM), where he earned his doctorate (Dr.-Ing.) for his research on computer-aided modelling of the cardiovascular system. Following research stays at King’s College London and Politecnico di Milano in Milan, he currently serves as Deputy Head of Department at the Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (BAM) in Berlin. His research focuses on multiphysics and multiscale modelling of electrochemical systems.

Dr. Marc Hirschvogel has been a member of the Board of Trustees of the Frank Hirschvogel Foundation since 2010 and has served as its Chairman since 2013. In his spare time, he is a passionate scuba diver and producer of electronic music.
