Project description

Double premiere: At the beginning of 2019, Augsburg University of Applied Sciences celebrated the launch of the new mentoring program, gP Mentoring (sought-after individuals of Augsburg University of Applied Sciences), and the gP Primus talent promotion network at a kick-off event in the State Textile and Industry Museum (tim) with around 120 students, mentors and guests.

Both gP Primus and gP Mentoring are aimed at particularly talented and committed students , and are closely linked to the mission of Augsburg University of Applied Sciences to develop outstanding individuals who are demand in business and society.

gP Primus is the new talent development network at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. Within the framework of the program, the participating students can network with each other as well as with experienced professionals - for example, from the gP Alumni Network.

The range of development opportunities includes the chance to participate in gP Mentoring, the new tandem program of Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. With gP Mentoring, the university has created a program that brings together students and experienced players from industry. Both sides benefit from the exchange: The students are supported in planning their further course of study and gain insights into the processes and structures of professional life. In addition, they can already begin building up a contact network in industry while they are still studying. In return, the mentors are given the opportunity to pass on their experience, reflect on their own professional careers, make contact with young and ambitious top performers, and develop their leadership and advisory skills.

The Frank Hirschvogel Foundation, supported by the Hirschvogel Automotive Group, is providing financial support for building up this talent development program at Augsburg University of Applied Sciences. "With gP Mentoring and gP Primus, Augsburg University of Applied Sciences offers outstanding and impressive programs that provide tailored support to young people in their personal and professional development. These programs are thus very much in line with the philosophy of our Foundation, namely to accompany and support young people in their education and studies," explains Walter Pischel, Chairman of the Board of the Frank Hirschvogel Foundation.
