Student Internship at the Training Center

Project Description

The Frank Hirschvogel Foundation is promoting international exchange at the Polish vocational school Górnoslaskie Centrum Edukacyjne (GCE) by offering students there the opportunity to undertake an internship at the Hirschvogel Training Center.

Six students and two teachers spent time at the Training Center from May 7-18, 2018, thereby gaining an overview of apprenticeship opportunities at Hirschvogel as well as having the chance to try out their practical skills. Some of the group were given the task of filing and milling as well performing other metalworking operations; the others worked on the computer to test their planning and design skills.
The students were highly motivated and they had a lot of fun comparing the different ways of working in Germany and Poland.

Furthermore, the students also enjoyed a fantastic recreational program that included a visit to Neuschwanstein Castle. They also took a trip to Munich to visit the BMW World / Museum, the Allianz Arena and the Deutsches Museum.

The Frank Hirschvogel Foundation would like to warmly thank the Training Center for its active support.
