VR Technology for Classroom Teaching

Benefits of Integrating VR Technology in School Education

Under the title “VR-BEST”, the Frank Hirschvogel Foundation is developing learning systems based on VR technology, which are made available free of charge to educational institutions for use in classroom teaching.
Integrating Virtual Reality (VR) into school education opens up new and forward-looking avenues for learning. Enhanced interaction and visualization make complex content more tangible and easier to understand. Topics are presented in a playful and engaging way, which not only increases students’ motivation but also creates new incentives for learning.

VR enables students to explore content independently, fostering deeper engagement with the subject matter. Learners can fully immerse themselves in virtual environments—be it ancient Rome or the human circulatory system—and develop a profound understanding of what they experience.

Another key benefit: learning with VR is possible anytime and anywhere. Classrooms become more flexible, and educational barriers are lowered. The technology also provides a safe and controlled environment where dangerous experiments or excursions can be simulated without risk.

With VR, education becomes not only more modern, but also more sustainable and effective.
