Project Description

Many people know very little about which plants and blossoms attract bees. Often, it's local varieties that everyone recognizes — making it easier to actively support these increasingly rare insects.

In the Project Seminar "KuBi" (an interdisciplinary course combining Art and Biology), students of the Welfen-Gymnasium in Schongau conducted in-depth scientific research.

Gaps in knowledge were closed, and new insights were discovered.

Each student created a poster summarizing the key findings of their research and produced nature and close-up photographs of their chosen flower. These detailed views often reveal things that would otherwise remain hidden to the naked eye.

A professional graphic designer transformed the image-text combinations into compelling poster layouts, printed in high quality. The students also developed an educational concept to share their knowledge through the posters, interactive workshops, and games — presented at events such as the Welfen-Gymnasium’s summer festival and an outreach day at Staufer Primary School.
