Project Description

Teachers are increasingly faced with the challenge of motivating students to set their own goals, develop personal visions, and actively shape their futures. The “Future Week” project supports students in doing just that: together with participating teachers, they plan an individual path for the coming year – or even the years ahead – and are encouraged to think in terms of solutions rather than problems. The overarching goal is to successfully complete their final school year. The strategies developed during the week are implemented by and with the students throughout the school year.

The aim is to make everyday classroom learning a tool for success, not a perceived obstacle. Students are guided to see school as a meaningful space for development and decision-making.

Modular Focus Areas:

  • Thinking About the Future: “Where Do I Want to Go?”
➜ Creation of a personal Future Tree
  • Learning Style Test
    ➜ Self-reflection
➜ Development of individual learning strategies
  • Teamwork Through Practical Tasks
➜ Video analysis and group reflection
➜ Development of personalized action strategies
  • Strengths and Weaknesses Analysis
    ➜ Recognizing “weaknesses” as opportunities
➜ Creating strategies to amplify strengths and reduce weaknesses
  • Connecting School Life and Strategy
➜ Defining concrete action plans for the school year ahead

Since these experiences cannot be fully realized within the typical school day or environment, Future Week takes place in a remote, dedicated setting. Students take on a high level of personal responsibility in managing everyday routines, encouraging independence and self-organization.
A balanced mix of structured learning, theme-based recreational activities, and ample time for personal reflection ensures the program’s impact is both lasting and deeply personal.
