Innovation Lab

Project Description
Three years ago, the Frank Hirschvogel Foundation visited the newly opened Hirschvogel plant in Mexico, along with nearby educational institutions – including the Universidad Tecnológica de San Juan del Río. This visit marked the beginning of a close partnership: shortly thereafter, the foundation signed a cooperation agreement with the university to launch a range of educational support programs, including scholarships, awards, and joint projects.
The first milestone was reached in 2020 with the creation of the Frank Hirschvogel Creativity and Innovation Laboratory – an open space designed to foster collaboration between students and faculty. The lab gives students access to space, resources, expertise, internet connectivity, and a creative environment in which to develop and complete their academic projects together.
Covering more than 80 square meters, the Innovation Lab is equipped with flexible seating, three 3D printers, projectors, screens, iPads, 20 computers, workshop materials, high-speed internet, and even recreational features like a table tennis table and a gaming station.
At its core, the Innovation Lab is all about empowering students: it provides a central hub where ideas can flourish and innovation can take shape. And with enthusiastic use and a growing community, the lab’s mission has already proven to be a resounding success.
