On 27th Oct 2019, the "Hirschvogel Cup" Robot Competition supported by Frank Hirschvogel Foundation (hereinafter FHS) was held at the gym in Jiading Campus of Tongji University. One year ago, FHS signed a contract with Shanghai Tongji University Education Development Foundation to set up a whole funding package with scholarships, awards and competitions for the propaganda of technical innovation and the development of higher education and young science-technology talents in China.

In 2019 the foundation boosted the robot competition.38 teams from 8 universities in Shanghai participated in the competition with their self-developed robots. The competition was hosted by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and operated by Tongji University. More than ten thousand people watched the match live via network.
